Retirement Savings Account (PRSA)
We are delighted to offer a new Engineer's Personal Retirement Savings Account (PRSA). The new PRSA is available now, and it offers special terms to members of Engineers Ireland. You can avail of the new Engineer's PRSA if: - You are currently a member of a pension scheme and wish to top-up your benefits - You are not currently contributing towards a pension and you wish to start now - You are a member of a Local Authority Superannuation Scheme and you wish to top-up your benefits - You are a member of a Public Service Superannuation Scheme and you wish to top-up your benefits - You are currently contributing towards a personal pension or a PRSA and you wish to top-up your benefits and spread your investment risk You can pay into your Engineer's PRSA by regular monthly contributions, or by lump sum contributions, or by any combination of both. You can increase, decrease, stop and restart your PRSA as your circumstances change.
Eagle Star/Zurich The Engineer's PRSA is offered in conjunction with Eagle Star/Zurich. In 2007 Eagle Star/Zurich was named 'Best Investment Manager' and 'Best Pension Fund Manager' at the MoneyMate and Investor Magazine Awards. The PRSA offers you access to a wide range of Eagle Star/Zurich's excellent investment funds. When you take out an Engineer's PRSA you will have access to Eagle Star/Zurich's Online Client Centre. Tax Relief Your Engineer's PRSA contributions are fully deductible against your income tax and PRSI, within generous limits. For example, if you are say 35 years of age you can receive full income tax and PRSI relief on a PRSA contribution of up to 20% of salary. The limits are age-related and go all the way up to 40% of salary.
